The VIN of a US-built Mustang starts with 1FA. Note: the electric Mustang Mach-E is built in Mexico (VIN 3FM), so it pays 10% duty.

- EcoBoost – 2.3 l turbo, lower running costs.
- GT – 5.0 l V8.
- Convertible – check the roof mechanism.
- Shelby, Mach 1, Dark Horse – sports versions.
What to check
- Front and airbag damage.
- Whether it is "Run and Drive", and the odometer type (see odometer brands).
- A Carfax report (5 €).
