Buy Now or bid at auction: when each pays off
Some cars have a fixed Buy Now price (Copart – Buy It Now, IAAI – Buy Now): the car can be bought without waiting for the auction.
How it works
- The price is fixed, but auction fees, shipping and Lithuanian taxes are still added.
- The offer is limited: when the auction starts or someone buys, it disappears.
- The car is sold as is, just like at auction, and the payment deadlines are the same.
When to buy at once
- When the price is lower than the sales history of similar cars.
- When the car is rare and you do not want to risk the price rising at auction.
- When you want certainty and speed.
When to bid instead
When the Buy Now price is well above the market or demand for the car is low. Compare with the prices of finished auctions.
Where to find them
On the home page – the rows "Buy now" and "Buy now up to $5,000"; in the search – the "Buy now" filter.
