How to buy a car from US auctions
You can buy a car from a US auction through us: we help you choose, take part in the auction, ship the car to Klaipėda and advise on customs and registration. Here is how it works.
Choose a car
Use this website's search across Copart and IAAI auctions. Pay attention to the document type (not all can be registered in Lithuania), the damage, the mileage and the seller type, and look through all the photos before bidding. At the auctions the seller is not responsible for the car's condition; the car is sold as is. On every car's page you immediately see the full price to Lithuania with taxes, and for a car found elsewhere you can work out the price in the calculator.

Send us the LOT number or the auction link: we will assess the car's condition, location and documents and advise you how much it is worth bidding.
Sign the agreement and pay the deposit
You sign the agreement online in your account and pay the deposit through your bank. The deposit is 10 % of the planned maximum bid, but not less than 700 EUR. Once the agreement is signed and the deposit has arrived, you can bid.
We take part in the auction
On the car's page you set the highest amount, and we bid no more at the auction. If you win, the deposit is counted towards the final amount. If not, it stays in your account for other bids, and on request we return it within 3 business days.
Pay within the next business day
After winning the auction we issue an invoice for the car's price, the auction fees and our service fee, with the deposit counted in. Pay it in your account through your bank within the next business day: this way we avoid the auction's late-payment fines.
Shipping by sea
The car travels in a container to Klaipėda, usually in 5–12 weeks. As soon as it is loaded, we send you a tracking code and loading photos.
Customs clearance in Klaipėda
While the car is at sea, we send you a notice and an invoice for transport, port fees, import duty and VAT: pay it within 3 business days, before the car arrives. When it arrives, we handle the port and customs formalities, which take about a week.
Collection or delivery
You can collect the cleared car yourself at the port terminal in Klaipėda, or our partner carrier delivers it by car transporter to a place of your choice in Lithuania: you pay the carrier directly, and we tell you the price in advance. Together with the car you get the original US ownership document (title), which is needed for registration, and the keys; we email the invoices and the other documents.
Certification and registration
Once the car is with you, we advise on repairs, the technical inspection (certification), the registration (pollution) tax and registration at Regitra. We do not provide these services ourselves.
